question about membership

Irecently became a gold member so that I could repay the site somewhat.

I thought that becoming a paying member, that the ads that show up in the pics would be gone.
I am still getting them and they are annoying.

Is there anyway to get rid of them ???

You mean that one, small ad in the upper right, and the one, small add that you only see if you scroll all the way down?

If there are more than two, then I must not even notice them. I don't know if you can "turn them off" though. Maybe an admin will chime in.

Firefox + Adblock Plus = No ads on any site.

I know about them, the pics that show up block pictures that are put into posts. I can not see the whole picture.

I am not that bothered, but it is a nuisence.

No Ads after First Post in Discussion Threads

As a necessity to offset operating costs, the Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association sells advertising in certain locations on our websites. One of the most effective ad slots is between the first and second post of every discussion thread on our forum. However members with subscriptions will not see any ads in this location!

Is the ad shown between the first and second post on a page gone? That's the only advertising that subscription removes.

the ad shows up IN the picture, that is the only time I see one, other than the ones mentioned.
And I don't see them all the time.

there is one that is in the Gun babe picture post now, it actually blocks part of a picture (the ad is for Moviephone)

It's been reported before, but as far as I can tell from the above thread, it wasn't happening frequently enough to become a priority.
