Question for you, how are their ammo prices there for cases of Russian stuff?

    Be safe (and well paired).

Have no fear, Scott! My next gun is gonna be a Yugo SKS. Surplus City has em soaked in cosmoline for $299. I think it's a good price these days. And yes, i will take it through the rite of passage with hours of cleaning and cleaning. Can't wait!

I agree with Swarner793 100%. My first rifle was an SKS from Surplus City for $129 over 5 years ago.

It was soaked in that junk and at the time there was almost no good info online on how to clean them, just forums. SKS's weren't all the rage they are now, you couldn't find 100's of pictures of what people have already done to them. I took it all apart, cleaned it and refinished the stock. I want to be buried with it. I've had rifles come and go through my hands but that SKS is going no-where!

This was an extremely inspirational project to take on, seeing and long waxy piece of crap turn into an awesome SKS is amazing, and I could pick mine out of a pile of 50 just by the feel.

    I highly recommend it.
