Default Do we have a wild pig problem in Pa?

Of course I watched "PigBomb" on Discovery and was wondering to we have any issues in Pa. I must admit I lost my taste for hunting years ago but I wouldnt mind hunting an animal that is destructive and feral. Just wondering.

Wild pigs? Nah. I wouldn't say they're a problem. The real problem has been coyotes in my opinion. I know of people saying the pigs are around, but they're obviously not to the point of destruction that they are a problem. If they become as abundant as coyotes, then they may become a problem.

I know a bunch of my friends from Florida hunt pigs all the time. At Ft. Benning, they try to kill 80% of the pig population a year to keep it under control. I'd love to not have to drive that far to hunt pigs, but being that they breed so fast, I can understand it to be a problem.

I wish that was the case here (in a way). I'd love to shoot some hogs!

This . I would love some pig hunting in PA but then again, they are a destructive force to be reckoned with. Much like the flatheads in the Susquehanna. Coyotes on the other hand, kill em all, I hate the bastards. Snakes can go too.

    Not yet.
Give the PGC time. They'll fuck it up and create a problem at some point.

We have a pig problem in Bedford, PA Rainsburg area. Before they banned hunting them you could shoot them night, day, spotlight, any weapon. Farmers who had posted ground would beg you to kill them. Now they are just multiplying.

Give it a few more years and the whole stae will have them.
And if you want to race, name the place and I'll show you where it's at mother f@#$&#!

Why did they ban hunting them? I figured since they weren't a native species the PGC would want to eradicate em...

They claimed that buy hunting them it would scatter them further and move them more. They claimed they would trap them. First happened, second did not.
