Custom Trigger work for a Sig 226
As the title says I am looking for some Custom Trigger work for my Sig 226. I would like to go Local (Pittsburgh area) to save the trouble and expense of shipping if possible.
My goal.
I would like to smooth out the Double action pull. While not changing any of the safety features of my Sig. Would really only look at a smith who is Sig Certified. Are there any such gun smiths in the Pittsburgh area.
And if so what Should I expect to pay for this. Sig Custom Shop wants $169.95 + shipping for there ACTION ENHANCEMENT PACKAGE. Which says in includes "Our factory gunsmiths hone and polish critical surfaces to lighten and smooth both the double-action and single-action trigger pulls"
This will be the first firearm that I have had any kind of custom work done on so I do not know what to expect.

I'd only trust two sources, and one you already know about - The Sig Custom shop and their AEP.
The other would be Bruce Gray at Gray Guns. He has a number of "packages" dependent on what will be the ultimate use of the gun.
I wouldn't trust my Sigs to a local smith unless they had a national reputation for working on them. Pay the shipping and only cry once.

Good luck.

If it was for any of my SIGs, I would contact Bruce Gray and set up a time to ship to him.
I don't know of anyone local that I would trust to do the work for me.The oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!
