Welcome to the forum. It is perfectly fine to dry fire a centerfire semi-auto. If you're worried about it you can buy a couple snap caps for dry fire practice. Dry firing rimfire is a no no unless it specifically says in the manual that it is ok. For revolvers I would definitely recommend snap caps.

    Paco, welcome to the forum.

You should be ok dry firing your center fire pistol. Just check the manual to be sure.

BTW, CAPS LOCK MAKES PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE SHOUTING!!!!
When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

I never understood this. I still only see words on my screen. Maybe if people hear voices they need to see a doctor because the voices in my head have way better things to talk about.

Do yourself (and us) a favor. Type without the caps lock on. Every post you make in caps lock will be followed with someone telling you that you should stop posting in caps lock. It'll truly make your life here (or any forum) much better.

By the way, as long as you're talking about a centerfire pistol, you should be okay, unless it specifically says not to in the owners manual.

I actually think that is a VERY GOOD idea. (couldn't help myself)
