A Gilbert man who was involved in a disturbance at a Polk Township bar Saturday was illegally in possession of a handgun, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Matthew Kozero, 19, was discovered to have been carrying in his waistband a handgun “that he did not have a permit to carry,” according to police who showed up to the Luna Rosa Bar on Route 209 at around 1:15 a.m. to investigate a disturbance.

Police didn’t say how Kozero was involved in the disturbance or what the actual disturbance was.

Police arrested Kozero, who was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a felony. He was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility. It wasn’t clear Sunday whether Kozero made bail.
