Default Thumbs up to Kel-tec customer service.

I recently traded for a practically brand new hard-chrome P11. When I got it I noticed the area where the spring guide sits on the barrel had a weird brown discoloration (pretty sure it wasn't rust though). I emailed Kel-tec to ask if this was of any concern, and they said probably not but they'd be happy to give me a new barrel if I sent the old one in.

Sent the old one in and in the meantime I decided I wanted a 12 round mag and a couple grip extensions. Emailed KT again to see if they could just ship them back with the barrel. They said sure and 2 days later they called me, took my order over the phone, quoted me $46. A few days later I got everything in the mail, and noticed my invoice slip was $39, they decided to give me free shipping. Total process took about a week. Very pleased with how smoothly they handled everything.

My experience with KT has been limited but man are they on their game over there. Most of my questions were in the form of emails and I seemed to get responses within an hour or so it seemed! They were also quick to answer some questions I had regarding a PF9 I purchased when I called.

ill tell you i have dealt with some manufactures. Kel tec was on top. With henry a close second. Followed by smith and wesson and ruger. I would say that taurus is has the worst customer service, but I dont even think taurus should call what they got customer service.

    Lol, Customer Dis-service?

I've always been a big KT fan, I've owned a few, and have never had to use CS, but I've decided to try to get my blued P32 hardchromed. I need to get in touch with them and see what they're charging for it now-a-days.

I just bought a P 11 and am glad to hear the good reports on Kel Tec. Having some trouble getting used to the long trigger pull but I will get the hang of it!

Papman, look up "White's" trigger mod. It'll take you longer to look it up, than it will to modify your P-11. It's basically an over travel stop which allows you to "stage" your trigger. I can repeatedly put 10 out of 10 in a paper plate @ 30' since I modified mine.

You can practice with snap caps. The beauty is that you do not have to reset the hammer after each pull.

As of right now Kel TEC isn't winning me over with their customer service.

I sent an email to the on 12/29/12 no response to date. Just sent the another via their contact form. Will wait on a response.

I also called them. Waited a good 20 minutes for someone to answer. In my mind that's excessive wait time. It's just a little past 10:10 after I got off the phone with them.

The guy said my primer strike were not bad. They are for the most part off center. And he said the excessive cratering isn't an issue until it punches through or pops the primer out.

I'm not totally happy with those responses.

    No other pistol I've owned had these issues. I had a S.A. XDm9 & a BERSA Thunder 380.

They close down for the holidays. It is better to contact them via phone. Don't use email!
