access to a range (Wrightsville area)
Looking for access to a range in the eastern part of the county (Wrightsville) for some pistol shooting. I'm not opposed to joining a club nearby....... any options or suggestions?

Re: access to a range (Wrightsville area)
I don't know all the ranges in the area, but I can think of 2 you may be interested in.
One is just south of you in East Prospect, and is a very nice range. If I remember correctly, they take new members in January only, and you have to be sponsored in. I am not a member there so I can't help you with that.
The other is Windsor Fish and Game, also a little south of you, maybe 8 miles or so. It is a rather small range with a 25-yard pistol range and 100 yd and 200 yd rifle ranges. Nice facilities too. I am a member there, and they are likely taking in new folks. I believe the membership is currently under 500. They meet every month, and I believe they take new members every month, it's like $17 a year or so. Although it is listed as Windsor, PA, it is rather close to East Prospect as well.
These are just the 2 closest ones to you that I know of. Next closest might be The York Riflemen in Hellam (Hallam?), but they usually are at max capacity, and getting in is not real easy.
Edited to add... there is also a nice range in Columbia (I hear is nice anyway, a co-worker grew up next door). But that is all I know about it.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I actually realized that I know one of the directors from Columbia Fish and Game, so I'll try there first.........
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll let you know how I make out....
