Default glock 30 sf mag question

Ok guys I bought a Glock 30 for my bday a few days ago shot it for the first time today 150 rounds no hiccup But noticed when I tried to load the 10 round mags only hold 9 it clearly is a 10 round mag not a 9 round and i managed to use some elbow grease and fit a 10th round, figured it was a new mag that need to be broken in however when I racked the slide it would only move a little and not enough to chamber the round when I down loaded it to 9 it works fine Any thoughts? did I get a 9 round mag marked as a 10 round?

Does it have 10 numbered spaces on the back of the magazine? If so, are all ten 'filled with the cartridge' when only nine are loaded? Or do you still have an empty space? Have you tried taking the magazine apart? There could be something stuck beneath the follower, perhaps.

No they have 10 holes I did manage to get 10 rounds forced in but cant rack the slide after, I can only rack on 9 rounds didn't take the mag apart
didn't think it would be plugged with anything

It only takes a couple of seconds to do. Get a punch or screwdriver and push down on the 'button' on the bottom of the magazine floorplate. Push it down pretty far, then squeeze the sides of the magazine and use the punch or screwdrive and pry the plate back. Once it gives a little, remove the punch (or screwdriver or whatever you've used) and slide the plate off.

It can be a pain the first time that you do it, but this will rule out one possible problem. It could also be a shoddy machining job and piece of polymer could be hanging off the follower. If you're having trouble getting it off, here's a video:

OK I read around on some other forums and apparently this happens with 10 round mags, Those other people suggested to keep them loaded for a week or two and should resolve the problem
However if anyone else has ideas on what else it could be Im all ears

If you take it apart and don't find anything unusual, I would use it loaded to nine round capacity a couple of more times. Try loading the full ten every now and then. Some Glock mags are a bitch when they are new. I wouldn't fret.
