If you have a LTCF and aren't carrying a handgun that is obviously for hunting then I shouldn't think you'd be hassled. In fact if it is concealed how is a Game Officer to know? If you carrying on the sportsmans handgun permit only or carrying a scoped Contender in a chest holster then you probably will be.

It all depends on the officer. Some Possum Cops(Game Commission) will hassle you if you have every license you could ever need, and are cleaning your gun while sitting on your front porch.

Nothing illegal to what you're planning to do.. but its still possible to be hassled.

Yeah sorry, I would be carrying a handgun. Though I normally carry my 357 in the woods, I guess carrying my XD would be better, since then it can't be perceived as a hunting firearm.
