Open Carry in Bucks County
Hello all...as you can see I am fairly new to your website but have been on it every single day educating myself. You guys are really great when it comes to 2A info, and the more I read, the more irate I get about the ignorance of cops....I spoke to a friend last night, who is also an avid gun user and we decided that we would test the open carry laws in Lower Bucks county (Langhorne/Yardley/Levittown) area one of these days. Basically, the reason for my post is to see if anyone has tried this alread in this general vicinity, and if so, what their outcome was.
I guess if no one has, I will make myself a guinea pig for the purpose of information gathering, and hopefully won't end up getting arrested! I have made 25 copies of the "Your Pennsylvania Gun Rights" flyer and will have them ready for all the yuppie soccer moms, which I'm sure will give me quite a bit of grief for my experiment....any input would be appreciated!

Re: Open Carry in Bucks County
I live in Levittown and have been thinking of open carrying. I've never seen anyone open carry in lower bucks but it doesn't matter how the police feel about it. The law is the law.

The law doesn't seem to matter much when the police decide to confiscate your firearm because you "refuse to conceal".

Re: Open Carry in Bucks County
I live in Levittown as well and I've opened carried maybe 3-4 times to the local Wawa withouth any problems. I think its all going to depend on the situation as to if the cops are called or someone complains.

I've OC'd in Levittown for two days and rest of Lower Bucks about 5 days. Just don't make it down there much.

I've been OC'ing in Levittown area for over a year now. The most i've ever gotten is "excuse me, your weapon is showing." from passers-by.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Open Carry in Bucks County
I open carry in most of Bucks and Montco and I have only been ahssled a couple of times. Never from a cop though. I feel like if you OC without walking around like you are trying to point it out most people don't even notice. I OC in philly as well and never get hassled there. In fact I have posted before that I have gotten a couple of discounts on meals for OC.
