Question Re: Hunter found dead in Quakertown

Any more news about this? I heard yesterday that the investigation had turned up possible "conspiracy" among the hunting party.
    I also have a question.
If you are hunting private property , are you able to use a rifle even though you are in a county that only allows shotgun hunting? I thought you had to abide by the county rules.

I'm about 99.999% sure you can't use a rifle on private property in 5C.

You can hunt with a rifle in 5C on private property. The some counties have restrictions to Archery/Muzzle Loader/shotgun only.
When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Bucks County Authorities claim an illegal high powered rifle killed the hunter in Quakertown.

I do not know of any rifle that is illegal for hunting because it is "too powerful." Anyone here with knowledge of such a thing, feel free to chime in.
Thats not what they are implying. They refer it being "illegal" becuase when hunting deer in that county with that rifle, it would be "illegal". They are not referring it to be illegal becuase of its power

You cannot hunt at all in bucks county with a centerfire, to include Quakercity(town) where this man was shot, Private property or not.

No you cant hunt in spec regs area with center fire rifles. Bucks county is shotgun only, see special regulations areas page 83.

I seem to remember a few years ago in Ohio there was an animal rights nutbag killing hunters with a high powered rifle in crossbow season.

That is what you know because you have some knowledge about hunting and firearms. Imagine for a moment that you are regular Joe Schmoe off the streets who has lived in a city or suburb his whole life. Reading the article would make one think that rifle was illegal because it was too powerful. Nowhere in the article did it say that rifles in general were not allowed for hunting in Bucks county.

    Geez, you guys sometimes...

...there is nothing quite like hunting another man.

You can only hunt with a rifle in the Berks County areas of 5C. Any other area in 5C you are not allowed to use a centerfire rifle-private or public.
