Who got one today?

I shot a doe at 7:00, she walked off like nothing happened so we sat and waited for her lay down an die. As she did I saw a buck but couldn't how many points and my daughter wouldn't have made the shot. He was sniffing what later I found to be where the doe laid down 100yds from the stand.

She came out directly behind my stand at about 70 yards and just stared at me.

i was up and out before the sun,climbed into my stand and sat there till about 9 without seeing a thing......went back to the car and headed out to my brothers place right down the road....he has a nice thicket behind his house that the deer run to as soon as the shooting starts.....climbed up in my stand and as soon as i got there 5 doe came down the center of the grown up field about 100 yards out but i desided to pass on them since it was the first day.... i hung my 7mm-08 back up on the branch and watched them disapear....about 5 minutes later a six point came down the treeline headed right to me but i am in a county that has a 4 point restriction so i watched him walk out in front of me about 20 yards and bed down in a patch of red brush then 4 more doe came out and that little 6 point was doing everything he could to get the does attention with no avail...... i was having so much fun watching them that i forgot to shoot one of the doe.....i watched them for about an hour milling around in front of me till they desided it was time to move on....about noon i headed out to get a few things done for work and grab something to eat....got back out in my stand about 2:00 and as soon as i got into my stand this 7 point came down the center of the field right for me.... i scoped him about 4 seperate times trying to see that 4th tine but couldnt find it and then finally he turned his head twards me and i seen a small guard horn on his right side was broken off....he was standing behind a patch of red brush and all i could see was from his shoulder forward side i put a shot from my 7mm-08 right in front of his shoulder into his neck and he dropped right away.... got him home and measured his broken guard horn and i was just about 1" long.....wish i had a tape measure built into my scope....LOL...

Not I. Never saw a doe. Had a scrawny three point wander by around 10:00 am; only had one antler--left side was missing. Saw another nice buck around 1:00 pm, but couldn't make out if he had that required fourth point on one side--six points were obvious. Had to let him pass, too. But I'll be out again ...

Bagged this big 8 point yesterday at roughly 7:45am. 50-60 yard shot with Remington 700 - .270Win using 150gr round. Nice long drag to the truck but was worth it.

Split season in our area; Had a huge-bodied buck walk within 10-15 yards away from me in the field before daylight, so I couldn't shoot, nor identify how many points it had. But judging by the outline of the body in the moonlight, it was either a very large 8 pointer, or a 10-12 pointer we've been seeing around there. He went in the woods right below me about 10 yards, took a pee... messed around a little, and then headed up behind me. I was hoping he'd hang out in the field until sunrise, but he didn't. I almost busted out laugh though, when he was coming through the field about 25 yards out, he almost stepped right on a dove sitting in the field (probably sleeping), the dove took off screaming, and the buck jumped back about 8 feet. haha I almost started laughing, but held it back.. But then he continued heading towards me again.

The rest of the day, all I saw were doe.. well over a dozen. Good sign for the area I guess, but not good for the freezer.

I was hoping the buck might come back up across when it was getting dark, but he didn't... maybe Saturday... hopefully.

I hunted Union County yesterday and this morning. I didn't see a single deer yesterday, but saw a nice buck this morning. Problem was, it was 5:15 and he was crossing the road as I was driving back to the parking area.
I swear he gave me the finger.

Weathers been nasty here. Havnt bothered to go out yet for rifle. Might try to head out thursday for the day since i have to work all weekend.

I took my son out (mentored youth.) We saw two doe walk up between us and another hunter. Even if they had horns we wouldn't have been able to take a shot because by the time they got to a point where there was a clear shot, they had stopped right in line with where I had seen the glimpse of orange.

I'll be taking him out again on Saturday.

Shot a very large body doe about 3pm on tuesday after noon in our LOVELY rain storm. Group of 9 walked in to me about 50-60 yards from where i was sitting under a pine, trying to stay some what dry... Waited to see if a Buck was following, but NONE in a 10min wait so i shot the biggest doe there was. Brand new Remington 700 .308. Remington Kore-loks. Never took another step.

Posting pictures of deer you shot 7 years ago and passing it off as the 2010 deer you shot isn't cool. LMAO
