S&W grips
I have been looking for a type of grip that I use to see.. It was a rubber grip with wood inlays.. I thought they were made by Pachmayr but I have not been able to find them.. Any one have any ideas on who made/makes them? I am looking for a set for my S&W model 65... Thanks...

Sounds like you are talking about the stock grips for a Ruger GP100. Ive never seen them for a Smith, sorry. Heres a link to pics.

Re: S&W grips
You were correct, they were Pachmayr's. They were called American Legend Grips...
From their website, it appears that they only make them for 1911's anymore. You may be able to find some at a gun show or in old stock at a fun store. Is your 65 a RB or SB, just in case I come across some in my travels?

Re: S&W grips
I have older rubber grips for both a Colt Detective Special and a S&W J frame. Brand was called "Mustang". The rubber has a slightly different feel then pachmayr. One set is black, all rubber but the other set has brown wood inserts. Right now they're packed away. When I get them out I'll borrow one of my kid's digital cameras and try to get a photo of them.
