Military Surplus Guns in York
Does anyone know of a shop that has Mosins and SKS in or around York? I know they will have them at gun shows but that will be after Christmas. Thanks
Forgot to also ask what is the best place to do a transfer if I buy on-line. Thanks again.Last edited by Bobthetomato; November 26th, 2010 at 01:00 PM.

Re: Military Surplus Guns in York
Don't know if Carlisle is too far, but there is a place that has always had Mosins there (Haven't been there in a while)... It's called Cole's bicycle shop, oddly enough... The rifles are downstairs.
Isn't there a fun, err, GUN show at the farm show before Christmas??? I thought there was.
There is a nice, little known "shop" (actually a guy's garage, but he's an FFL) up in Perry county I'd guide you to, who has a bunch of Mausers, Mosins, etc. Good luck!
Best place I've done transfers for online stuff was Mechanicsburg Ordnance. Small shop, small fees.
I like to support the "mom and pop" shops... No Bass Pro or Dick's for this guy.Last edited by bohound; November 26th, 2010 at 06:07 PM.

I was in Layman's gun shop in East Prospect a few weeks ago and he had a handful of Mosins in the used rack. I don't remember the price but I doubt that it is under $100. he tends to be on the expensive side. You may also want to try Dunham's in Hanover. They used to have mosins as well.

Ha, I'm also in Dover and I have 4 Mosins with no more room in my safe. Let me know what you might be interested in. It will be face to face so save money on transfers. I have to say that I want to keep my M38.
I have a gorgeous M44, a 91/30 with a round receiver and a 91/30 with a hex receiver.
I only have one SKS and I want to keep it.
Here are my Mosins. When I got them I cleaned all the cosmoline out of them, took all the bolts apart and scrubbed them out with kerosene. They have all been fired as well.
