Is there a certain time people are not usually around? I'd like to shoot up there without getting shot tommorow. I wanted to break out the ak47 and get some target practice.

I agree. When I was there last, 80 rifle rounds took about 1 hour and 45 minutes, whereas my father and I went through the almost the same amount of handgun rounds in about 20 minutes.

Yesterday was a very weird day at the range. There was an 82 yo veteran. We talked. Nice fellow. But he was sighting his rifle by placing his own target 10 yards away from the bench on a 50 yard range. And he was walking down to check his target without asking anyone.

And while walkin back from checking my target at 50 yard line some knuckle head discharged his 22lr rifle at 100 yards line.

    Another day at sgl range.

Ps there also was a nice guy shooting his stag arms 3gun rifle. What a beauty!

Seems like there is a window in between rain patches. I'll try to get there to catch an hour without rain.

headed over to the range today around 230 till 4. it was pretty empty.. one guy was leaving the pistol range and 1 guy on the 100yd rifle range. the rifle guy was cool and let me use some of his nails. (forgot to bring something to hang targets.) people started showing up after 330 and were shooting at the rifle range...

one guy looked pissed... he was setting up his rifle and spotting scope.. then saw me shooting my ak47 and he packed up everything and left? ( i was following all the rules ). he came back later when i was done lol.

finished up shooting my pistol and packed it up.. one guy even stopped to hunt for special brass lol. its a nice range.. ill post some pics later.

    didnt get swept

I was at the range from 1-2:30 today. Very quiet with one person at the rifle side and I had the pistol side to myself. Nice time to shoot right after the rain and the sun was starting to come out.

I was there at around 10:30am. Caught a window in a rain and sighted my stag model 6. There were two guys - they left right after rain started again. I waited out in a car for 20 minutes and when the sun came out for a little while I sighted stag model 3 all alone at the range.

I left around 12:30 or so.
