Muzzleloader Shipping Questions
I tried searching and checked Xringshooters's sticky (http://forum.pafoa.org/general-2/568...ten-asked.html) but I am not sure it covers it ...
My cousin (non-prohibited) is back in PA for Thanksgiving and has decided he wants his families Muzzleloading rifle back in MN.
None of us have a sufficiently large hard case to carry it back (checked) on the plane.
IIRC Muzzleloaders do not require FFL involvement to purchase even new, but does that follow for Interstate "transfers"?
Can I just ship it to him via UPS Ground (No actual transfer involved, but I'd be handling the shipping)?

Re: Muzzleloader Shipping Questions
Muzzleloaders are not "firearms" under federal law. They can be mailed or shipped directly doorstep-to-doorstep. They require no transfer work.
The only time you have to worry about this is when dealing with restrictive states and municipalities like, Illinois, NYS, NYC, Chicago, NJ, etc. But for PA and the remaining states - muzzleloaders are a non-issue.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Muzzleloader Shipping Questions
To the above. I am not sure about here, but in Texas as long as it is sidelock or flintlock and designed to only shoot roundball, it is not illegal for a felon to own and hunt with. As per State of Texas Probabtion Board.
