owb vs iwb..pics please?
i am new to carrying and i understand pa open carry..yada yada yada..but.. i recently ordered a blackhawk serpa cqc(blackhawk sucks when it comes to shipping) and realizing i probably should have got a crossbreed. its becoming winter time in pa so i dont mind wearing the serpa since i will be wearing a jacket etc to conceal it, but overall for winter and summer....whats better iwb or owb? pros? cons? and pictures of some holsters in action?

Re: owb vs iwb..pics please?
I wear a BladeTech IWB most of the time. It's the most comfortable IWB I've found. I like all the concealment I can get.
In my limited experience:
Pros of OWB:
- Wider choice of retention, IWB are almost always open top, with OWB you have many choices.
- More likely to be comfortable, I like my BladeTech IWB, but I have found leather IWB holsters get painful after a while.
- Usually secured with belt slots, which make it harder to grab the gun + the holster
Pros of IWB:
- Nothing protruding from below the waistband
- Can be more stable because belt tension holds the holster in place. A good OWB and belt combo can minimize this difference.
- Usually secured with loops, which make it easier to unsnap and remove the gun and holster together.

Alright, I'll snap some for you. Here's a Bianchi Carrylok 82 OWB holster with a Glock 27.
Very nice holster, I did a review on it here;

I'll go take some pics with a Crossbreed Supertuck. Give me a minute, and get ready to see my boxers...
Here's the Supertuck with a Glock 19, larger than the Glock pictured above. My shirt is tucked behind to show what's going on. Taking pictures of yourself wearing holster is an art, and I am NOT good at it.

Re: owb vs iwb..pics please?
I just ordered a shielded holster which is very similar to the crossbreed in function. As soon as it gets here I'll post some pics. Since I just ordered it saturday night and its approaching a holiday I'm thinking friday? It was sent out monday priority mail. And I use the serpa wintertime and when out on my MC as the retention is good,, but wish it tucked in tighter..

As you know, there are no shortage of endorsements for the CBST. I also have one and you can add my endorsement to the list (and I got a free roll of Lifesavers with the holster). Perhaps the following YouTube video demonstrates how well the CBST can conceal, even on a petite person. The video should also be interesting and informative for our female members who may not have yet seen it and are thinking of an IWB holster.
