So it’s legal to shoot someone 15 times in NJ, but shoot them 17 times and you crossed the line

That type of thinking is one of the many reasons I stay out of NJ.

That's a good question but you can't get a straight answer in NJ. I've heard of FFLs blocking mags over 15 rds on SA, Glock, and Ruger handguns for people wanting such guns. A FFL can possess over 15 rd mags and those that modify them take the onus off the gunowner. Whatever they do has been approved by the NJSP.

Don't write off Glocks based on experience with a 26. A G26 is significantly harder to shoot and I know many shooters that do fine with a 19 but can't hit anything with a 26.

The FFL usually sends the magazines to a gunsmith who permanently plugs the magazines.

I am so glad I left NJ. OTOH, I still have to pass through to get to my office in NYC...not sure which is worse.

Then there are the idiots like me who had trouble shooting a G19 and shoot a G26 much better.
