Re: northumberland county
Every LTCF trip to the Northumberland County Sherriff's office I've had has been just as you describe. In and out in no time at all. The staff in that office have always been friendly as well.
Now taking your firearm to the courthouse and their check-in procedure on the other hand... Not so good. See the thread linked below.

Re: northumberland county
Since this county is much faster and doesn't require "Local" references, can i go outside of my county to get a PA LTCF or does it have to be done in your residing county?

Re: northumberland county
I have checked my weapon a time or two entering the courthouse in Sunbury and my experiences were always fine, the deputies may have been a little inexperienced with citizens checking guns but the end result was my weapon was checked and I conducted my business. And I also sent Sheriff Reiner an email stating my satisfactory experience there, and he actually emailed back to thank me for taking the time to inform him about my experience with his deputies.
And my 3 or 4 renewals were always a breeze."You never lived till you almost died, for those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know"

Re: northumberland county
they should have two more options on the application for reason to carry
1. 2012
2. zombie attack
sorry just had to throw in some humor
but overall for not knowing what the hell i was getting myself into at the court house(considering i started off with me locking my keys in my car) everything went pretty smooth and they were very friendly i was in and out about 20 min and that was with 4 people ahead of me. just cant wait for my holster to come in
