Gauging Interest for a Winter Kalashnikov Class
I'm considering doing a Vickers Shooting Method Kalashnikov Basic... it'll be a cold weather class - think of it as Russian Winter! Thoughts/interest?
There would definitely be loaner guns available - I personally have 5 loaner AKs available, along with magazines.
If this goes down, it will be a legit VSM carbine class, but with a little extra added fun. After the guns are put away for the day, mandatory shots of vodka for all shooters!
The class would be at Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Beaver Falls, PA. Most likely it would be a 1 day class and the cost would be $150. VSM Carbine Basic cert. would be issued.

Re: Gauging Interest for a Winter Kalashnikov Class
If this is on a day I am not working, and if I can use a loaner, and the Mrs doesn't mind. I could be all for this.
It sounds like an absolute blast.I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Re: Gauging Interest for a Winter Kalashnikov Class
Myself and a friend would definitely be interested. He'd need one of those loaner AK's. The fact that it's only a one-day course means getting off work would be pretty easy.
As long as it's done before Febuary 22, I should be able to make it.

If this would be a weekend day, I would be interested.
So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause.

Re: Gauging Interest for a Winter Kalashnikov Class
Looks like I have about 16 guys expressing their interest across several different forums - even if I only get half of those signed up it is enough for me to do a VSM Kalashnikov Basic class.
I am currently leaning towards Saturday, December 18.
Thoughts?

Re: Gauging Interest for a Winter Kalashnikov Class
Is it possible to do it after Christmas? I imagine quite a few of us would be doing last minute shopping, visiting with family and friends, and traveling so close to Christmas.
I'd love to attend this class, but know I probably won't be able to make it in December (definitely not the 18th).
