What now ? G19 or CZ

Good day everyone

I loved Synergy's post, it cleared out a lot of Q's.

A bit of background.
I stay in South Africa, out here it takes a long time to get a firearm licence(later part of 12 months) so I want to be damn sure if I do buy that it will be the right choice.

I'f read some posts that Glock's had some troubles in the past(slide rail fails, loading....) all these coming from ex cops.
Some say that CZ is better, but the Duty to me is still to fresh on the market(I like the saying; Time will tell.)

I didnt want to go to Glock or CZ forums because I will get a biast answer.

Any help??

It's not fair to compare a Glock to a CZ...the two are world apart in terms of reliability.

Go with the Glock. Ask your buddies for the exact details on the failures they've mentioned to you regarding "Glock slide rails"...I bet good money they won't be able to give you specifics/ pictures.

also depending on what CZ they are ALL steal and not the best for carry. I have owned 6 Glocks and never had a problem with any of them.

+1 for the Glock. You'll always find people that have problems with anything mechanical. But I agree, the Glocks are probably the most reliable ones out there. I've had a few Glocks - the G19, IMO is probably one of the finest.

I love CZ's, but I would go for the Glock. I imagine Glock parts would be easier to find than CZ parts in South Africa.

I've nothing against CZs but I would not trade a Glock 19 for any other gun. If someone tells me they can outdo a 9mm Glock on reliability I would take quite some convincing.

HK is about the only company up to the task, today.

CZ has been around forever and is probably the most popular hand gun in the world..(not the USA). it has been the issue pistol for most European countries for years.. you cant go wrong with a CZ it fits most people hands very well, th eP-01 is much like the glock in materials sued, ... just sayin
