Glock 30 or 36?
I am waffling back and forth and would be interested in opinions. I have a G19 and carry it in a IWB holster and love it. I don't mind the classic Glock grip so I would *NOT* consider the SF models unless there is some other advantage?
I have read that a G36 will fit in my G19 holster, will the G30?

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
The SF grip is the same, but with a little less backstrap. The Glock 45s are a bit thicker which results in a fatter grip. I find the 30SF to be a very comfortable gun to shoot, and I have medium sized hands and short fingers. As far as holsters go, the 30 will be thicker, whether the SF or not, so it depends on your holster.

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
I have owned and carried both for a few years and loved the g30! The 36, with single stack, was nice but just felt to skinny in my hand. I put an A Grip on the 36, which helped but still felt a little to thin. As for the holster, I'm pretty sure you would be good. The 36 and 30 are very similar aside from the grip. I recently traded in my 30 and now carry the s&w m&p 40, and man, I love it!

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
I carry a G30 IWB frequently. My father has a G19 and a friend has a G36. They're similar in width. The G30 is a chunky little beast, and I'll admit, the G36 and G19 are more comfortable for IWB carry, but I got the G30 for added capacity. And it's not like it's uncomfortable, but there is a difference. I also got the SF model. I actually, liked the normal G30 better, but I found a new SF model for a great price
After a little bit, the chunky G30 doesn't feel too bad IWB. With a good belt, there have honestly been times that I had to feel for the gun because I couldn't tell it was there!
When it comes down to it, the G30 and G36 are both excellent choices. Pros and cons for both.

If you can, handle both side by side and try each in a IWB holster. I did, and went with the G36. It fits all my G23 holsters.

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
The Glock 36 is the least reliable gun Glock makes.
If you have a 19, stick with that, honestly.
The 30's run better, but still not as well as the 17/19.

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
I had a 36 and regret having got rid of it. Never a single hiccup. The slimness was a major plus. However these days if I were looking at them these days I'd also give a serious look at the 30sf.
(FWIW, I heard zero negative comments about 36s in the armorer's class.)

Re: Glock 30 or 36?
I have heard the G36 is the least reliable, but that just makes it on par with most other guns on the market
