We had plain crescent rolls for dinner tonight, then I saw this thread...LOL

I always eat my regular apple pie warmed AND with vanilla ice cream if we have it...or just put the pie in a bowl and pour milk on it. I think your crescent roll apple dessert would be good in bowl with milk too. Yum!
Holy CRAP! I never thought of that. We used to always put our apple pie in a bowl (best when warm), add a little milk, and sometimes sprinkle a spoonful of sugar on top - HEAVEN!!!

I hit refresh and it went away, it was cutting out the most important part.
    1 teaspoon vanilla
1 can (12 oz.) Mountain Dew
    Cinnamon to taste
Yes, the apples turn out soft.

I wouldn't compare this to something grandma used to make, but considering how easy it is to make and how tasty it is, this one is a keeper.

Nice pics. On another note, I understand the gun is old and Washington maybe wasnt so anti-gun in the past but that Washington DC on the slide cracked me up a little.

Yeah, I thought about that before. Pretty ironic.

Tried the recipe last night. Would like to show the pretty pictures but it seems to have evaporated.

Thank You for this as it is our new best dessert.

    Glad you liked it.

We saw that the dough products were on sale the other day so we picked up some more. Wife is going to try a variation of this recipe using 2 layers of dough (one on the bottom and one on the top with apples between) rather than rolling them individually. We'll see if it turns out as good.

Looking at the recipe it seems that I miss-read the sugar. Try using brown sugar next time as that was what we used.

Since this stuff is in the oven as I type, I thought it would make for a nice seasonal BUMP!

Had a small sample shortly after it came out of the oven earlier. Mmmmm...

Soon it will be time for my evening snacky-snack.
I haz vanilla ice cream to add to it this time.

    more.

I've had it for about 10-12 years now. I saw it in a case of used guns and asked to see it - fit my hand like a glove, so I bought it. I carried IWB and discovered that I wasn't fond of the safety digging into my side. Enter the Colt Pony. I haven't carried the FI in years, but as I said, it's sort of too "odd" to get rid of. I saw one at a gun show about 6 years ago and it was in really poor condition - never seen one since.

I had to pull my Star M43 and do a double take. The guns are definitely from the same family. The safety on mine doesn't dig into my side so I tend to carry it fairly regularly.

    Yup. Essentially the same handgun.

I forget if they bought the rights to make them from Colt, or what the deal was exactly, but yeah, pretty much the same thing.

I carried IWB in a nylon holster, so it was right against my skin and it drove me nuts.

EDIT: Actually, I'm thinking of the Star D Series/Model D that is identical.
