Repair shop for Remington 770 near Pittsburgh?
Hi Everyone,
I purchased a Remington 770 30-06 about three years ago. The first time I cleaned the gun I broke the plastic butt piece off the end of the firing pin assembly. Remington was kind enough to send me a replacement assembly. However my stupid self has gone and broken it again. This time when I was called however, I was told that this is a restricted part and I'd need to send the whole gun in for repair. I'd much rather go to a local shop to have the work done, especially since all I need is a 6" part that I'm sure they could order. Can anyone recommend a good shop for this sort of thing?

I believe federal firearms in oakdale is an remington authorized service center. I took a 870 express there a few years ago.
