Re: Bloomsburg Fair Grounds Gun Show
Made it to the first show in the mall. Was really very good for a 1st time show.
Printed off the new coupon covering a bunch of shows. Makes it easy to keep using the same one so I don't have to search for a new one every show.
Wonder if there's a special go to 'em all & get in 1 FREE???
Anyone know of a good place to eat in downtown Bloomersburg???

Re: Bloomsburg Fair Grounds Gun Show
I love the Bloomsburg Diner. It is by the light by the university and police station. I think it is on Main Street. What are the times?

Re: Bloomsburg Fair Grounds Gun Show
By the time I get there (no wife along this time)....I'll need some cigars for the ride home.
Is there a good cigar shop in a University town????
Eagle Promotions site shows:
Saturday 9-6 PM. Guess it's an hour longer because of Deer hunting season coming.
Sunday 9-4 PM.

Re: Bloomsburg Fair Grounds Gun Show
The show filled two of the buildings, and I'd say the crowd was moderate. Even at 1100-1300 the aisles were quite navigable except for a few power chairs.
As for deals, it depends. There were at least two ammo dealers and although I wasn't shopping for any, a quick price scan told me that ammo prices are strating to drop.
Lots of dealers with handguns, but again I wasn't looking for one so I didn't pay much attention. The few guns that caught my eye seemed high, as a PA "Westie" I would consider those prices to be normal for Eastern PA, -- $50 to $100 more than the same gun could be had in western PA.
I was looking for another AKM to add to the stable, and the lowest prices I saw were ~$439 for WASR 10/63s with welded-on muzzle nuts. Other WASRs ran from $459 to $600, the latter had Tapco furniture on it, and the original laminated furniture was on the dealer table at $45.
There was one dealer with a huge selection of EBRs and milsurps, whose price tags said "VFGS" or something like that. They were VERY proud of their merchandise, and based on the lack of customers filling out 4473s at their "desk", most of the show-goers thought the same.
I did see a Winchester Commerative NRA Musket sell for $430 OTD, a good deal and if I didn't already have one I would have sprung for it. Also saw a MINT Norinco 1911 that a guy was walking around asking $350, with box, cleaning rod, two mags. It was cherry and that price was more than fair but I already have two.
One thing about this show, almost right from the start those two rooms were the FUNKIEST of any show in memory. Three guys in particular left a powerful stank lingering for many minutes in their wakes. And I left my Vicks at home.
I did find three Butler Creek Mountain Slings, a concealment holster for a P225, and two Streamlight Microstream single-AAA cell flashlights, and one friend who rode along bought a couple milsurp rifles from walk-arounds, and some parts. The other friend bought a good bit of ammo and some militaria. I also had business at Lowes and got what I was after there, and then we lunched at Quaker Steak. All in all, worth the 2:15 one-way drive.

I usually make a run over, walk around, but never buy anything.
Glad you had a safe trip, thanks for the follow up."Unus ut caput capitis"
