Ruger Blackhawk production??
Hi All,
How many Ruger Blackhawks in brushed stainless, 6.5" barrel, .357 mag were produced and what is the value on them new and used right now?
My cousin just traded a Taurus .357 mag blued, (not sure of the model) for the Ruger and 50 cash.
He asked me about the production numbers and if it was a decent deal.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.

Lots, and that's just an estimate.
If he traded away a Taurus for a Ruger, he got the better part of the deal. Single actions are a lot of fun. Great for punching paper or hunting and Rugers are among the most rugged single actions available.
He did good.

MSRP is $681 on that model. Your cousin did well.

Re: Ruger Blackhawk production??
It turns out to be a New Model Blackhawk with a serial number that starts out 32-xxxx
I got to handle it, check it out and shoot it yesterday. My cousin loves it and was very excited about the trade. I thought it was a very nice piece and it shot well.
He only had 38's to shoot so that's all we used. I can't wait to put some .357's downrange with it.
It was a used revolver that the shop was asking $375 for. He traded the Taurus (don't know the model but it was double action, blued, wood grips that I could probably figure out with a little searching) and $50 cash for the Ruger and a box of .38's.
I thought the deal was pretty good. The Ruger was not kept very clean but it shot well, had a good action, wasn't damaged in any way, etc.
For me @ 15 yds, I had a nice group with several hole touching. I shot a little low to the bull with it, but it was a tight group. It could have been me getting accustomed to those sights or it may need adjusted. I'm sure my cousin will figure it out as he spends more time with his new purchase. He plans on taking it along as a secondary firearm for this year's deer season.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.

Oh, I forgot........it's not a brushed stainless finish.
It's a matte finish.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.
