Ruger SR9C or CZ p-01

I am looking to by my first 9MM. Currently have the Ruger LCR , LCP, Mark III, and a couple of older pistols. I have looked at lots of 9MM pistols and really like the feel of these two. Just looking for opinions on both. I am concerned more with the durability of the ruger as I know that there have been some problems.

Can't go wrong on the CZ P-01. Great pistol that does fit nicely in the hand and is very reliable. Been around a few years.

Might be nice to have something other than a Ruger.

On the other hand I got to shoot a Ruger SR9C couple weekends ago.
Real nice size and is very accurate. Since it is new don't know about reliability.
The price is really good as well.

The big difference is the cost seeing how the CZ will go for at least a hundred+ more.

Either one would be a good choice.

Hands down the CZ. Not even a question, the P-01 is a great gun.

As much as I admire Ruger pistol, I own 5, the CZ 75 family of pistols are excellent. I'd jump on the CZ and not look back.

Oh Boy, talk about apples to apples, seriously though you will be well seved by both.

However the CZ is the better made pistol in terms of materials, workmanship and over all quality.


i would get them both , the Ruger for carry and the CZ for home defense/range etc.

Thanks for the opinions. I hope to go to the gun show in Bloomsburg this weekend and get the CZ!
