Sig P238 Grip Screws
Took my new (but previously owned) Sig P238 out for the first time today. It shot wonderfully and I couldn't be happier, however, I lost a damn grip screw!
Previous owner said he only put about 200 rounds through it and it popped out sometime during the second mag so this is unacceptable in my opinion. Fifteen minutes of sifting through casings on the ground turned up nothing. Think Sig warranty will cover it? If not, any ideas where to get grip screws online? I can't find anything with google. Maybe the screw is the same size as other Sig grip screws?I am not a lawyer and nothing I say should be construed as legal advice.

Re: Sig P238 Grip Screws
Top Gun supply for everything SIG, and they sell Sig Parts cheaper than Sig, really though such a new Gun should not have nothing falling off of it , if not send it back to Taur, i mean SIG , i mean its a new gun , came out what last year?

Re: Sig P238 Grip Screws
There are several ways to prevent the screws from coming loose. A little Blue or Purple (if you can find purple) Locktite on the threads. A little bit of clear nail polish will work also. Or an "O" ring, go to Home Depot and to the plumbing section. What you want are #60 O-Rings made by Danco. The size is 1/4" Outside Diameter x 1/8" Inside Diameter x 1/16" thick. A package of 10 costs about $2.
This is a common occurrence with 1911's and it seems to happen with Sig's also...... http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?p=611086
Edit ,,,, Midway or Brownell's should have the screws.

Based on a previous, recent customer support experience with sig, I would be really supprised if they weren't willing to mail you one.

Re: Sig P238 Grip Screws
Have never had a grip screw come loose on any of my 1911's or anything else that needs them. Have never known anyone else who's ever had this problem, with properly fitting screws either
I looked at my screws and they look to be the same as regular 1911 screws for thin grips. I'm sure that Sig would send replacement ones, give them a call
