Holster Recommendations?
I currently carry my S&W M&P 9mmC in my purse. The advantage is that I always have my purse with me, and there's no printing, so I can carry in places that many people cannot.
But when I'm wanting to go somewhere without a purse (a walk, yardwork, etc.) I am at a disadvantage.
I don't normally wear a belt, even when wearing jeans. I'm looking for a IWB holster that is soft and will conform to the body and does not require you to be wearing a belt (although I do realize a belt makes it more sturdy). Keep in mind that women have different curves and ideally I'd like to carry around 2 o'clock if possible.
I'm 5' 9" if that matters.

Re: Holster Recommendations?
An IWB holster, even the clip-on type, isn't very stable without a belt. Meaning, being able to draw your gun in the event of an emergency, would be iffy.
If you're not going to wear a belt, maybe one of these would be the answer:

My fiance just got a Crossbreed Supertuck and she loves it. You can wear it without a belt if you want to. Its probably not ideal without a belt, but it will work.
I would strongly reconsider ever carrying in a purse. An attacker is most likely to go after your purse, which is the last place you want to have your gun. You also have to worry about when you are visiting other people's houses, and have to keep an eye on your purse at all times, especially if they have children.

I agree it may not be ideal, but it's better than not carrying at all. I have 30+ years of experience in always knowing where my purse is, never hanging it on a chair, and carrying it under my arm (tightly to my side). With small children around, it goes on a shelf more than five feet high. I'll check out the supertuck.

Not an IWB, however may be an option.

Explore the possibilities of pocket carry.
I know most womens clothing is not adaptable to pocket carry. However, it may work in some limited way. A really good pocket holster is always the order of the day. A fleece with button or zip up pockets also works when using a pocket holster.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

Look at-

Also any "belly band type"
This web sight has a lot of interesting CC products. http://magills.com/
For IWB @ 2 o'clock, with no belt, I would say get a soft leather or fabric holster(for comfort) with a strong steel clip on it (so it really grabs your pants) that sits low so it is pulled in tight by your waistband (so it has less chance of printing or falling out) Here is one, there are others.

The supertucks/kholsters are comfortable to wear but with 2 clips are a pain to put on and off quickly, I have them for all my pistols, and for an all day trip they work well. But for a quick trip I like a simple single clip type too.Last edited by Beardog; November 10th, 2010 at 03:00 PM.

Re: Holster Recommendations?
I've seen some really positive things posted on another forum regarding Remora no clip holsters. I don't have one, but they may be worth looking at:
