Public ranges around lenhartsville area

Hi i am new to the site and i recently bought a handgun and i have been trying to find public ranges around lenhartsville but the only one i found is leesport but when i try to call no one picks up was wondering if anyone has been there recently or knows of anywhere around i can go. I have this new gun and have not been able to shoot it much and am looking to fix that this sunday thanks for taking the time to read this

There is a public range next to the civil air patrol camp.

I've been there a few times, its nothing real long range. Ibelieve the longest they have is 100yds, but for a handgun its not a bad place to go.

Why don't you just join the lenhartsville fish and game? nice flat 100 yrd range with a shorter pistol range. 30 target archery course and 2 ponds members can fish in. They also shoot trap and have a running deer shoot in november. Thats a deer target hung on a cable at 100 yrds. a motor pulls it across the 100 yrd range. it will humble you. Membership was $20.00 to join then $10.00 a year. To get there you head east on rt.22 to the y in lenhartsville, bear to the right. At the next street turn right. you will see the signs about a 1/2 mile down the road. Where the shooting benches are is a box on the wall with sigh-up cards. Fillout card, add bucks, throw in mail, The club will send you your card. Have fun.

I'll second Hamburg Rifle and Pistol. They are located outside of Shartlesville off I78, 1/2 mile from Love's Truck stop. They have 'The Pit'. You can plink plastic bottles and cans. They have rifle out to 300 yds. I just participated in their Steel Shoot two weekends ago, educational and fun is all i can say. Great group of people.
