Default My Wife is a Wanted Woman

So, I took the day off and visited the doctor (all the test results came in, and there's no trace of any more cancer). On the way home, I stopped by the local gun shop and inquired about getting a Hi-Point 995TS (it's inexpensive and it works). They didn't have any on hand, but would order one.

Upon arriving home I informed my wife of the doctor's report and that the gun shop four miles down the road could get me what I wanted. I gave her some money for the down payment. I offered her the other money I've been squirreling away, but she refused it. She said to save it for when we really needed it.

She then went out shopping. Upon returning she handed me a "Paid in Full" note from the gun shop and proceeded to tell me of her adventures.

She walked into the gun shop; about seven men were standing around shooting the bull, etc., etc. Apparently not too many women visit the place because all activity stopped.

She proceeded to tell the owner what she wanted to order for me (she had it written down). The standing-around men were floored. Apparently their wives wouldn't do something like that for them?

The gun shop owner told her he didn't take credit cards. Since she had just cashed a pension check at the bank, and, out of the kindness of her heart (plus my birthday is coming up, plus I rarely, if ever, ask for anything at all), paid the entire bill in cash. And, based on their collective input, she decided to go with the scope instead of the red dot sight.

Seven men were in love with her. Again, apparently their wives don't do similar for them?

They all wanted her for a wife (plus, she doesn't look her age).

    YOU CAN'T HAVE HER - SHE'S MINE.

Nice! You are a lucky man!
These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Thomas Paine 1776

Statkowski - congratulations on your medical news, your new highpoint and having a terrific wife.

RWilson, I will keep you in my prayers until such time as you make a post with news like Statkowski's. (No, I didn't mean the part about the rifle or the wife). Never discount the possibilities!! Keep your hope alive!

Thank you a for your concern. I have advanced prostrate cancer. it is being held in check with Zoladex. It won't kill it but it will keep it from growing. It's all they have at this point.
