Suggestions for scoping a Marlin 925M .22 Magnum rifle?

I am looking to put a piece of glass on my Marlin 925M rifle. I'd like to keep the cost below 100$, prefer a fixed magnification scope and if at all possible a 3/8th's grooved receiver mountable scope (but I can get rings if I need to).

I figure at most, I'd be shooting out to 100 yards or so with it.

Any suggestions?

Any particular reason you want a fixed power scope?


I have heard good things about the "Sweet .22" from BSA.

I am just more comfortable with the idea of fixed scope and I guess I should mention also a Mil Dot reticle preferably.

Unfortunately, one of the only scopes like this I have seen so far is like 200$.

I usually put a Simmons 4x on my .22 LR and mag rifles, they are reasonable and work fine for a 22.
