the imfdb says it's a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in 454 Casull.

Thats a bit of an exaggeration.

Pending you hit your intended target on the first shot, i'd say a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan chambered in .454 Casull wouldnt be ENTIRELY worthless.

Deagle would be the backup. The Alaskan is way cooler thus must be the primary....

I have a desert Eagle and just recently picked up the 454 alaskan. Both are awesome great firearms. Neither would be my first choice in a defense situation unless I was being attacked by a bear

Smith & Wesson Model 500 flickr szuppo. I saw the same gun in a TV series and they said what it was, and I Googled it and found a picture of it on Wikipedea. I believe its the 2 3/4 in barrel with recoil suppression vents to discharge gas?
