Re: Harrington & Richardson 999 .22 Revolver
Very nice, but you better put another roll of tp on the holder before the Mrs. comes after you
Here's some of mine - first the 999 :
Then a "new defender", don't see many around
Next is pretty standard 922
And the ultra tiny vest pocket model
That's enough for now - lol"Tastefully Pimptastic"

Re: Harrington & Richardson 999 .22 Revolver
Hey guys
Sorry to resurrect an old thread there just seems to be an incredible wealth of knowledge in the participants!
I have inherited my grandpas's 999 with serial number N6437, any info would be much appreciated!

Re: Harrington & Richardson 999 .22 Revolver
My H&R 999 22cal has serial # D-247xx I think it is 1942 vintage. A beautiful piece and gift from my father-in-law many years ago.

Re: Harrington & Richardson 999 .22 Revolver
Close... D would be 1943 if it is a post-1940 gun. However, prior to 1940 H&R used "D" to designate "Double Action". ....so, you could have a 1943 gun, or a pre-1940 Double Action Sportsman.
I'd have to see the gun and get a translation from the roll stamp to be able to date the gun.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Thank You Knight. I cannot post pictures????? I can read the barrel and perhaps give you what you need. In fact I will do that. New post on it's way.
