    Default Springfield XD 9 Tactical

Found a good deal on one a little while ago and had it on layaway

Brought it home today after a quick trip in the rain to the range with it.... 250 rounds, no issues whatsoever . . .

Thankfully the bench area was covered, other than putting up a target and picking up brass, had the range all to my not so little old self

I had one years ago and I really liked it.
I had to sell it for financial reasons but it was a great shooter and never had any problems.

I have an XD40 service and an XD9sc and love them. I prefer them to Glock and M&P, I also have a Sig P229 and the XD compares to it in slide height and grip angle. I find I can shoot them more accurate than most other pistols, and the XD9sc is tough to beat for carry with 13+1 rounds.

Have a 2 full size XD 9's that I just love. Sold one a long time ago and regretted it. So, I bought a subcompact. Carried that till I started to carry the full size all the time. So, I recently traded another PAFOA member for a full size he had cause he wanted a Subcompact. So, I have one that lays next to the bed with a light and laser on it and my daily carry. I love my XD's. Sold my M&P too.

I had the tactical in 40 (when they first came out), then bought the tactical 9 about 2 yrs ago (cheaper to shoot) and sold the 40. I had adjustable sights installed and did a trigger kit job on it. Some of the guys at the local range couldn't believe an XD could have such a nice trigger.

I always thought that the XD was a take care of business, looking gun. but when I held it I was a little taken back about he feel of that high slide sitting in my hand. Now the XDM is an improvement in my opinion a better trugger and less of high slide feel.

People that own them like them a lot. I always though that Glock 1911 thing was a winner.

clarion44- which trigger kit did you use? I'm interested in getting one for both my XD's but would like a personal opinion about one.
