    Default OC in state parks

I'm given to understand the Republicans now have majority in both the Assembly and the Sate Senate. Not to mention the Governor's office. Do you think we could make a push to change the law to allow for open carry in state parks?

I'd trade OC in State Parks for Constitutional Carry.

But to answer your question I think not for this reason. The political capital needed to change a niche law that the anti's would go crazy about is not worth it to politicians. If they are going to shake the hornets nest they might as well go for something big like Constitutional Carry.

OC in State Parks should definitely be on the agenda, however priority should go to the following

    1. Constitutional carry.
    2. if not #1, then striking the 6108 Philly thing, and the vehicle prohibition in 6106 (both blatantly unconstitutional via Murdock).
    3. getting rid of the database

Are you referring to Murdock v. Pennsylvania - the 1943 SCOTUS case?

Yes. A right cannot be taxed or have fees placed upon it to practice it.

Interesting. Maybe when i go to renew my LTCF in 2012 i'll tell em to go punch sand when they want to charge me. After Heller and McDonald the time seems right for that kind of stand.

The problem with that is, concealing has been ruled to be a privilege(regardless of our beliefs), that is why they get away with requiring a license under the "state's power to police". Now open carry has been considered the truest form of our 2A rights, which is why it is unlicensed - except for Philly, which state law 6108 violates the 2A via the Murdock ruling. PA's "philly law" may also violate Article 4 Section 2, and Amendment XIV Section 1.
