    Default Concealed carry question?

    Hello Folks
I need some advice on CC.
    This is just an example:
I carry concealed on my hip (not in the waist band) UNDER my 3/4 length winter coat. What would happen if by some chance the coat would accidentally come open and someone would see the weapon? Is that considered brandishing?
I do have a LTCF in PA.
    Thanks for your replies.
    Jim

There is no such offense as "brandishing" in Pennsylvania.

    Open carry is legal.

Transitioning between OC and CC or inadvertently exposing your firearm is not an issue legally.

I hope you are using a holster, a real holster made out of leather or kydex.

Absolutely use a kydex holster - was just wondering if I could get in trouble if it was seen inadvertantly.
    Thx.

Open carry is legal with and without a license. So how could you get in trouble?

As mentioned by another, there is no "brandishing" law. "Brandish" means to display in a menacing and intimidating manner. So inadvertent showing could not be "brandishing" even if PA had a law against it.

As others have stated. There is no brandishing law in Pa. and your pistol being visible is 100% legal. (except state parks where you must CC, summary offense if not). So whether intentional (taking coat off) or incidental (bending over, wind, etc) is not a problem.

However, if you intentionally expose your firearm, in a way to intentionally threaten someone, you absolutely *could* be subject to an assault or terroristic threats charge.
