What's the drill? Do they send a renewal form in the mail or is it up to me to go in to the office?

The last renewal I did, I had to go in. They don't send any letters or notice that you are about to expire. It's up to you to remember.

in may i went 30 days before mine expired, it can take up to 30 days to get it, so you don't want to be without it.

You are supposed to be mailed a new application, but if the Sheriff doesn't do that you'll need to go in.

I've publicly called out our Sheriff on other matters regarding licensing. This would be a good one to call him out on if one of you guys that didn't get the renewal application sent to you is willing to do so.

really? i had my ltcf for more than 20 years and never received anything about renewals in the mail. every time i go 30 days before mine expires and fill out the renewal right there.

My situation is exactly like yours, except they have sent me a notice EVERY time mine is about to expire. Go figure...

Did they send you the actual application form, or just a notice? You're supposed to be sent the actual application.

I got the actual application, which was nice because it only took a few minutes for them to take my picture and be on my way.

Update:
Today 12/18, I received a renewal application in the mail from the Sheriff. My license expires 1/4.
