Wish me well....
I am going to shoot in a new slug gun. I hope to be done in six shots or less. I would rather shoot a 300 all day long.

I feel your pain. When I sighted in my 12 gauge with winchester partion gold 3 inch slugs my shoulder was hurting. Then did it again few months later when I decided to put a scope on and that was with my jacket rolled up using it for a pad

Re: Wish me well....
Went ahead and let the wife zero here own 1100 12ga. She shot until she ran out of shells (10) and asked for more. She zeros with the light recoil and shoots the 2 3/4" max. 1oz. There does not seem to be a major difference in the point of impact between the loads and the recoil is quite a bit less on the lighter load.

Re: Wish me well....
It ended up being a rather uneventful range session. Four shots on the 25 yard line to get it where it needed to be. A three shot group at 50, and then a four shot group at 100. Deer of Chattaqua County New York be warned......

years ago when I bought my ithaca deerslayer from a friend at work, i ran a box of 5 rounds from about 6 makers to see which it like best. I was pretty bruised up for a while to say the least.
