Sportsman's Warehouse - Allegheny county
Anyone go to Sportsman's Warehouse before?
its the only one in PA and appear to be the only store in north east US, Lots of store out west
Its north of Pittsburgh just off route 279 on Mt Nebo Road
map, store directions, time open, etc on this link
http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...m?storeNum=143
I buy reloading powder in bulk (8#) or more, not only do they usually have bulk powder in stock, its 20-30 buck cheaper than anyone that may have it or has to order it (you get a price break on cost of powder by buying in bulk containers). The price on smaller containers of Powder are still usually cheaper than everyone else has it for sale and they have it in stock - usually. Bullets and primers seems to be cheaper as well if only a little bit.
I usually buy two containers of bulk powder or couple boxes of bullet heads, instantly broke so I don’t bother to check the rest of the store out.
Never really walked around the rest of store to compare prices to Gander Mountain or Cabelas on other items so just wondering if anyone else has?
Just looking at “loaded” ammo, cost seems to be cheaper than most other big box store prices for same / similar items.

Been there once, nice store. For the type of guns I'd buy - Dunham's has them beat on price.

I really like Sportsman Warehouse. They have everybody beat on firearm prices that I've seen. Ammo is cheaper than any place else I've been in Pittsburgh.
The guys behind the counter aren't the most knowledgeable though. I've seen them pass a handgun to a customer without checking to see if it's unloaded. I spend quite a bit of money there."Having a gun and thinking you are armed is like having a piano and thinking you are a musician" Col. Jeff Cooper (U.S.M.C. Ret.)

Re: Sportsman's Warehouse - Allegheny county
ive overall been pleased w/ the store...
they have a ton of ammo (at good prices) and the firearms selection is quite vast (also at good prices).
staff mostly seems pretty cool... the guy that sold me my buckmark (i believe his name was cameron) was particular great to deal with.
overall a thumbs up for the store.

I purchased a U22 Neos there a few months ago, they had a good price.
Also, had a nice selection of Holsters there.
I picked up a Blackhawk retention Serpa II last week for my Glock 26. $39.99

Re: Sportsman's Warehouse - Allegheny county
Went there a couple weeks ago with Pistols & Posies and Bigjlen, spent a few hours going through the place and realized when I got home that evening we had only walked around and looked through the left half of the store, never even made the right side. All that time and only looked at 50% of the store. Guess the next time I am down I might have to take two days since we are supposed to hit Cabelas that trip, so I'll have to stay over and go back to Sportsmans Warehouse again. I really liked the store.

i like that store.
as far as prices go, my experience has been that on some things, their prices are good (ammo, for example) and on other things, their prices are high (clothing, for example).
if you just wander around that place, it will suck all the money outta yer wallet, though.

I don't know anyone who has a better handgun selection. Handgun prices are pretty good. I would rather shop there than Cabella's or Gander Mtn. (Robinson). I also like Gander Mtn. in Washington.
I vote the second first
