NJ2AS would like to thank Anthony Colandro, CEO of Gun For Hire (GFH), the premier firearms training facility in New Jersey, for agreeing to provide a Florida CCW station during the November 17th meeting at the American Legion Post 129, 2025 Church Ave., Toms River, NJ (details in link above).
Members and non-members will be able fill out the application, have i.d. photos taken, have fingerprints taken and get your application notarized all at the same time.
To meet the training requirement, bring one of the following and you will have a complete packet ready to drop in the mail:
* a copy of any NRA or State firearms safety training certificate
* a copy of your Hunter Education Card
* a copy of your orders calling you to active duty if you are active duty military or DD-214 if you are a veteran
If you don’t have the training yet, you will be able to sign up for GFH’s next NRA First Steps class at the event.
Cost is only $25 for NJ2AS members and $50 for non-members. You can join NJ2AS on the spot to get the savings.
You will also need a check or money order for the license fee of $117.00 payable to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
There are two great reasons to have a FL CCW permit:
1. You can carry in 31 states even though you are not a FL resident (http://licgweb.doacs...aled_carry.html).
2. If a national reciprocity bill is passed by congress and is signed into law, and includes non-resident permits, you will instantly be able to carry in all 50 states, NYC, Washington D.C. and all U.S. Territories, yes that would include NJ.

Re: NJ2AS and Gun For Hire offer FL CCW Station at Nov 17th Meeting in Toms River
How are they doing the fingerprints since Floridas legal department has informed me that the fingerprints must be administered by a law enforcement agency. You cannot merely use an "Off Duty Cop" or retired cop anymmore. The prints must indicate the name and address of the Law Enforcement Agency that administered the prints. that is why I have switched to offering Arizona permit assistance since AZ does not care who does the fingerprints and their permit covers the same states as Florida. Arizona is also about 65 dollars cheaper then Florida.

That is why we have Gun For Hire coming out. They are certified to do the prints and the notary.
