Back in my graduate school days in the UK, I used to shoot up the chemical residue bottles from the organometallic chemistry laboratories in order to destroy them. In those far off days, quite legal!! Nothing like punching holes in "Winchester Quart" bottles full of "things that go bump in the night". The flames and smoke colors were spectacular. Today, the EPA or its UK equivalent would have you in jail for pollution, but in the early 1960s!!!! Dave_n

Not to mention owning and shooting a gun in the UK.
I used to work security for a clothing retailer and when the pins on the ink tags would bend they threw them away. I'd collect them and split the cases and use the ink cartridges. Just taped them to paper plates and wallah, instant art work.
