How do you store your pistols?
I only own handguns at the moment, so i've been keeping them in a locked trunk in their original foam cases with a healthy coating of Eezox and a silica packet or two in each case. I was reading that storing guns in their foam lined cases is a bad idea since moisture can stay in the foam and cause rust problems. I have been doing this for awhile and all my guns look great, but I am worried about the long term and am considering changing my style of storage.
I've read that Borestores work great at wicking away moisture and protecting guns indefinitely. Anyone have experience with these?
Also, I wouldn't mind getting a safe optimized for multiple handguns, however every handgun safe I see will hold two at max. I own 8 pistols. Every other safe seems optimized for rifles with not enough shelving to fit my growing pistol collection.
So, my ultimate question is, what seems to work for all of you in safely storing your pistols and keeping them free of rust.

Re: How do you store your pistols?
Gun safe....
Our gun safe (Liberty) came with a door mounted pistol system. Basically, it's a bunch of pouches that mounts to the inside of the safe door.
You can buy them with different configurations and up to 50 pistol pockets. I'm not sure if these fit Liberty safes only, or pending dimensions....if they'll work on other safes.

Re: How do you store your pistols?
Every one of my handguns (except my daily carry piece) is kept in a Bore Store in the safe on racks (Versatile Hand Gun Racks, IIRC) I can't say enough good things about them. I still use dehumidifiers in the safe too, but the Bore Stores keep moisture away from the guns and protect the finishes. Highly recommended.

Re: How do you store your pistols?
cleaning them after firing and a light coat of oil is sufficient. Thats all i do and put them in my gun safe. I have a couple handguns dating over 20 years old that look as good as the day they were bought. I only worry about my ammunition and how it is stored
