How we made a PVC Target Stand
Here is a little how to on making a pvc target stand for a standard IPSC sized target (22" x 35"). My son and I made 3 today. It took us about 2 hours and $50.
Here are all the pieces laid out.
To make 3 I bought 4 5' pieces of 2" pvc - 6 1" x 2" x 6' wood strips - 12 2" 3way pvc connectors - 2 large cardboard boxes and the pvc glue.
For each stand we cut 4 pieces of pvc into 12" lengths (for the feet) - 2 pieces 3" in length (to connect the 3 way connector to the other for the H bar) and 1 piece at 17 3/4" (H bar).
Here is my son cutting.
Here are the 12" feet cut.
Here are the 4 feet in the connectors.
Here is the base all together.
Here we are making the target. We took 2 1" x 2" x 6' pieces of wood strips. Cut the cardboard to the 22" width and stapled it to the wood strips.
Here is the target with cardboard backer and target in the base.
Here are all 3 built.
All in all it was a fun project for the 2 of us to do together and have some good father son time out in the garage.

Re: How we made a PVC Target Stand
Mods, i put this here because i thought building a target stand for training was a good spot. If it is not, move it wherever you think is best.

Please bring lots of targets. I'm out of pistol targets. But I do have stickers.

Very cool, I screwed mine rather than glue them. I was afraid they would get shot or break and need repair.

Re: How we made a PVC Target Stand
I made several PVC stands a few years ago and while nice, they do not last. The PVC is too easy to break and while they are cheap and can be fixed, I prefer to make mine out of wood now.

Re: How we made a PVC Target Stand
No, he means putting the connections together and then using sheet metal screws into the connector and the pipe instead of gluing. It makes it easier to replace shot up parts because you can unscrew the sheet metal screws and put a new section in. When they are glued, you pretty much need to build them all over since you can't get the bad section apart.
