Sig 239
Is the P239 barrel interchangable like the P229? If I buy a P239 in .40 cal can I get a .357 barrel for it too?

Re: Sig 239
I was thinking along the same line when I purchased my 239 in .40 cal.
Then I priced .357 sig. ammo. Thats where the idea of the extra
barrel stopped.

Re: Sig 239
I bought a .357sig barrel for both my P239 and P229. I've only shot the P239 with the .357sig barrel once - 50 rounds. The price of .357sig ammo sucks!
I'll probably be selling both barrels shortly.

Re: Sig 239
Do you have to use Sig .357 ammo?

Re: Sig 239
Yes if your using the .357 sig barrel.
Note: The .357 sig is a necked down .40 S&W.Last edited by mike1894; November 11th, 2007 at 09:13 AM. Reason: Added info.

Re: Sig 239
If you buy the 9mm P239 you can not switch barrels because the 9mm slide is not as strong.
I have a P239 in 40S&W. I tried a friends P239 in .357SIG but didn't like the muzzle flip, too long for me to get back on target. But it was fun to shoot at the range!!!"Having a gun and thinking you are armed is like having a piano and thinking you are a musician" Col. Jeff Cooper (U.S.M.C. Ret.)

Re: Sig 239
Unlike the P229, the Sig P239 requires different magazines for the .40 and the .357 Sig.
