Default Anyone know anything about this gun?

A family hand-me-down -whoever owned it has passed so we have no info on this. It says on the barrel Model Automatic Pistol Cal 635 "Allies" what is the calibre?
It looks pretty old and the steel needs some care. It feels solid and heavy but we just don't know anything about it or if it was a gun deemed unsafe years ago !? The safety hooks into a notch on the slide.
    Any info appreciated.

Yep, 6.35 millimeters is .25 caliber.

Most likely Spanish, maybe Italian. No other markings anywhere?

Can you get a better pic of the emblem on the grip?

I cant see the emblem on the grip clearly enough to determine manufacturer. Its probably a Spanish knock-off of the Baby Browning, which Fabrique Nationale had official license to manufacture from John Moses Browning. FIE, Astra, and a few others made these knock-offs.

As pointed out prior, 6.35mm is .25acp.

I did find Spain on the bottom in small print. I am using my phone so unfortunately the pictures appear terrible -closeups obviously dont work well with this phone! It looks like an A with a B intertwined.

I wonder if I could use this gun as it is small. Although my female arms dont appear to be able to rack this tight slide.
I will attempt to add more pics although pretty vague.

Looks like a Ruby. Which is a derivative of a Browning.

I did some looking - it appears to be a Berasaluze, Arieto-Aurtenia.(1905-1936) possibly a 1924.
I don't know if this is a poorly made gun and not safe to shoot or a decent gun to shoot (in a pinch). I can now rack the slide pushing the base of the gun instead but the trigger is a beast to pull and strange as just a click. I know very little about guns but am slowly learning.
