Question Is DMV (in PA) a firearm free zone?

    Hi all,
I need to do some stuff at DMV today.
Is DMV a no gun zone (like the federal buidling and courts)?

    Thanks.

This has been brought up on a few different occasions. Some have had no problem whatsoever, and some got alot of stares.

But, the resounding answer in those instances where that the DMV is not a restricted location.

All the above answers about a non-restricted place are, of course, correct.

If there was an instance where the PennDot license center shared a building with a Magisterial District Judge (or some other court) then possibly it would be a prohibited place.

I say possibly, because I'm not sure if there were separate entrances and a dividing wall if that would make a difference.

The last time I went to renew my liscence, there was an elderly woman who took care of me. As she was finishing up with my liscense she started talking about how she wished the people in Germany had guns before the war. I think she might have been Jewish. She was also happy to see we can have them now.

    Anyway, I had no issues.

The people in Germany DID have guns before the war but hitler banned them with the 1934 gun ban, incidentally President Johnson's 1968 firearm act is almost verbatin taken from the German 1934 gun consfication act.

You can read both of them side by side on the NRA website.

It never fails- Genocide always follows gun consfications.
Wether its Germany , Croatia , Bosnia, Rwanda, you name it.
