You load a .380 with Corbon Pwrballs or Hornady critical Defense or Buffalo Bore and it will stop a perp. Remember shot placement is the thing. I have no doubt a couple rounds to the chest will stop someone, actually one shot will. Load your .380 with good ammo.

It might and /or should are better words to use here.

this thread is 1 1/2 years old. If he hasn't decided on which to get by now then there is probably no hope for him.

    Good point crzynate.

So which is it KJP442, did you go with the Thunder .380, the Thunder 9mm, something else or nothing at all?
Shooting is, as it has always been, the fabric of America!

MSB, It takes at least 4 years usually for a gun maker to work out the kinks out of a new design, personally i dont carry for personal protection any gun that has been on the market for less than 5 years, but fortunately both the Thunder .380 and UC9 are based on older excellent German designs, the Walther ppk and the Walther P5.

I used to own a BERSA Thunder 380. Loved it. I never had any issues with it except for a few FTE's in the very beginning. Then it worked itsself out and was gold.

I felt completely comfortable using it for self defense. I had Speer Gold Dot and Hornady CD for SD ammo choices. I sold it because I needed the cash.

I have no experience with the 9mm model, so cannot help out there.
