    Default Most care free Gun?

I own mostly 1911s, Berettas and Glocks I have a EAA witness 79/45acp, 24/7 Taurus 40, Kel Tec Pt11, Ruger Mk III bull barrel and a SS? Phoenix 22lr pistol.

I'd kick out the Ruger, 1911s, EAA, 24/7 and who cares about the Phoenix.
BC of obvious wear or to new to show wear.

The 6 Berettas and 3 Glocks are pretty care free, I haven't torture tested either and don't want to but just taking them in and out of the safe firing them and cleaning and putting back in I can't tell. The 92sf and the Commanders and Revolvers use to be duty weapons.

I have 20 year 92sf Beretta that looks almost brand new and of course all the Glocks look new but one is only 3 months old and the oldest maybe 6 years old.

The 20+ year old Colt 1911 is showing holster wear at the end near the barrel, so are the Kel tec, Ruger, EAA as for the 24/7 no wear but I'm just glad its trouble free only a year old.

The 357 revolvers are SS hard to notice any wear.

What's your most care free/scracht/holster wear resistance gun?

I guess my Glock is the one that needs less care than the others. I don't torture test mine either. It's entertaining to watch on You Tube, but I wouldn't do it to my own guns.

There is no such thing, this idea have gotten quite a few good men killed in the Nam.

All guns needs to be cared for , loved, fondled and admired if not they do strange things.

Not quite what you had in mind, but the guns I own that are easiest to care for are the single shot shotguns. A couple of patches through the bore and a wipe with a lightly oiled rag and you're good to go.

    Any Glock. Period.

Best slide finish from the factory (at least up until, and including the Gen3 guns - I have yet to handle a Gen4 extensively, but the finish looks ever so slightly different than previous models).

Least care/maintenance required (externally and internally) - Minimal lube requirements.

One of the most durable and simple designs in existence.

And bear in mind - I am not a big Glock fan - I prefer a Sig or HK... But I would have to say that a Glock can thrive on a level of care that would cause many other makes of pistol to choke and/or show wear.

    YMMV, of course.

    Regards,

    Bones

My P220 has a stainless finish and that gives it the just the edge it needs to take the least care. I give all of my other guns (Glocks, Sigs, SAs) just about the same amount of care. the all stainless Sig just shows less holster wear than the others, yes that includes the Glocks and Sigs.

Rugers are tough bastards! P89,P90,P95 and the SR9 would last a long time without being cleaned, i have my SR9 over a year now it still looks like brand new and i wear it 24/7 in a Galco IWB holster.
